Finnish photographer Lassi Rautiainen captured a rare friendship between a female grey wolf and a male brown bear over ten consecutive nights.
They spent several hours together each night from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., even sharing food.
It’s uncommon for wolves and bears to bond like this, and the reason behind their friendship remains unclear. Rautiainen believes their youth and possibly loneliness played a role, finding their companionship in the wild unique and inspiring.
