One day, while disposing of trash at the landfill, I encountered a group of puppies that were approximately one month old. They seemed extremely hungry, and with no sign of their mother, I decided to stay and observe them
Those were seven puppies, likely from the same mother, shivering in the cold and hunger. They walked together, slowly navigating through a heap of trash in search of food.
Despite their small size, they stick close together, maintaining a certain distance to avoid getting separated.
Wherever they wander, they search for anything to eat, unaware of the whereabouts of their mother or how they ended up in this place.
Around each garbage truck, there is often a lot of leftover food that excites them. However, being too young, they haven’t grown enough teeth to chew and consume it
But in this area, everything is trash; the larger stray dogs and cats have consumed all the edible items. They have nothing to eat, and their steps tremble from both cold and hunger. It’s truly pitiful
A puppy discovered a green leaf and attempted to chew on it, perhaps feeling helpless due to a lack of sufficient teeth
After waiting for a considerable time to see if the mother dog was nearby, and finding none, I learned from locals that the puppies had been around for three days without any sign of maternal care. Upon realizing this, I placed them in a cardboard box and brought them home to care for them
Upon arriving home, I prepared a warm nest for them. After devouring a generous bowl of porridge, they were satiated and could peacefully rest. Despite my family’s modest means, there is enough rice and porridge to help them overcome their hunger. I hope that as they grow a bit more, someone else will come forward to gradually adopt them, providing them with a happy life, free from the constant worry of hunger
