The story of an exceptional, intelligent, beautiful, and precious pink dog only makes him more special!
Everyone initially thought he was a baby pig when they first met him, but in reality, he was a puppy with a coat of pink fur, unlike anything you’ve ever seen. His name is Piglet.
He was born from the crossbreeding of a Dachshund and a Chihuahua, with a spotted coat. Despite his distinctive pink fur, Piglet is both deaf and blind.
Because Piglet is loved by his family, his disabilities have never hindered him from living a full life. He gets along with other dogs, living harmoniously and happily. His deafness and blindness are genetic, inherited from both of his parents.
Rescue staff helped Piglet overcome his initial challenges when he was born weighing only 680 grams.
“Piglet” struggled for a long time to adapt to his new family. Nevertheless, he loves to cuddle, play, and frolic with other dogs.
He often visits his owner, a veterinarian, at their workplace. Piglet especially enjoys visiting pet stores and banks.
Now Piglet’s mission is to spread positive energy to everyone. Some schools have even started a series of classes with Piglet’s story, describing his extraordinary zest for life.
They explain to the children that Piglet can only face life’s challenges with a cheerful attitude. Children are taught empathy and the value of accepting others for who they are by looking up to Piglet as an example.
From a peculiar, pink-furred, and congenitally disabled dog, Piglet has demonstrated his optimism and mission to become a great ambassador.
