Kristian Laine, an Australian freediver and underwater photographer, had a fortunate day while shooting at Lady Elliot Island on the Great Barrier Reef. He encountered the world’s only known pink manta ray with a rose-colored underside.
“I had no idea there were pink mantas in the world, so I was confused and thought my strobes were broken or doing something weird,” Laine said.
Here are some photos of this magnificent fish.
This fish is truly one of a kind.
It looks like a creature from a Disney sci-fi movie.
Getting some sunshine!
Wish I could see this fish with my own eyes.
Glorious, indeed.
