This tale revolves around Rudy, an abused pit bull found in horrendous condition, confined within a plastic bucket. Arriving at a shelter in New York in November, Rudy bore scars of severe wounds inflicted by cigarettes and battery acid, leaving him nearly hairless.
With Cushings Disease, Rudy faces the risk of severe front leg fractures if left untreated, rendering walking impossible for him.
The shelter reached out to (SNARR) Special Needs Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation in the Northeast, hoping they could provide assistance for the dog.
SNARR’s director, Courtney Bellew, possesses vast experience in rescuing seriously injured animals like Rudy. Upon seeing Rudy’s dire condition, she was deeply saddened and couldn’t bear to imagine the state of his leg, which was in horrendous shape.
They took to Facebook to announce that Rudy, who was ecstatic to be rescued, miraculously pulled through! Medicated baths played a pivotal role in Rudy’s recovery.
Rudy’s video of his medicated bath gained rapid online traction, swiftly going viral. Luckily, he found a foster home with a veterinarian couple residing on a picturesque farm in New England. Here, surrounded by various animals like a lamb, cats, dogs, and the family’s children, Rudy can heal more quickly. It’s a heartwarming ending to his journey!
