Kelly John spends her day time teaching people how to journal and paint about nature as she adores the outdoors. One day, she was surprised after finding a stowaway peeking out from her driveway.
Kelly John was amused by her reaction, saying anyone witnessing it would laugh too much. A baby raccoon was discovered enjoying her outdoor furniture, much to her amazement. However, Johnson noted the raccoon’s young age and dependence on its mother for survival.
Johnson reached out to the Wildlife Rescue Coalition of Northeast Florida for assistance. While waiting for help to arrive, she received advice from Barbara, one of the founders.
The rescuers safely took the raccoon to the organization, where she is thriving until she’s ready to be released into the wild in a few weeks. Johnson’s quick action and assistance ensured the raccoon’s well-being.
